Chad Johnson is a Certified Director of Safety with 21 years in transportation and 14 years leading operations and safety. His background spans petroleum and hazardous-materials transportation, carrier startups, and large fleet safety programs. He understands the pressure of keeping trucks moving while maintaining driver, equipment, and workplace compliance.

At PassPro, Chad applies that experience to driver qualification reviews, mock audits, hazmat and driver training, incident investigations, and the procedures behind daily fleet decisions. His work connects the regulatory requirement to the records, responsibilities, and corrective action a carrier needs to demonstrate.

Chad serves on the board of the Houston Council of Safety Professionals. His approach is direct: identify the concern, explain what needs attention, and help the fleet build a process its people can use.

Henry Vargas

Intermodal operations & inspection readiness

Henry Vargas brings nearly three decades in transportation, with a career that began in 1997 and progressed through equipment release, dispatch, operations management, driver services, and safety leadership. His intermodal background gives him a practical understanding of chassis handoffs, port requirements, equipment condition, and the decisions drivers and dispatchers face.

At PassPro, Henry applies that experience to inspection readiness, intermodal compliance, driver coaching, roadside follow-up, and maintenance accountability. His work includes driver qualification, hours of service, DataQs and crash-preventability reviews, accident investigation, and telematics programs.

Henry completed CVSA’s Industry Roadside Vehicle Inspection Training Course and serves as Second Vice Chairman of the Texas Trucking Association Safety Management Council. He also serves in leadership with the Houston Council of Safety Professionals. He received the 2025 Joe M. Atkinson Distinguished Safety Professional of the Year award. His focus is helping fleet teams turn inspection findings and safety data into practical improvements.
