Where PassPro fits

Henry Vargas brings more than 20 years in intermodal operations and safety and serves as a Board Member of the Houston Council of Safety Professionals. PassPro connects that perspective with transportation compliance and practical training.

Equipment handoffs

Review how drivers identify equipment, report concerns, and connect defects with provider follow-up.

Driver and record readiness

Review qualification records, inspection documentation, and how staff retrieve requested information.

People and procedures

Bring drivers, dispatch, maintenance, and office staff through the same defect-reporting and equipment-release procedure.

The handoffs are where the process matters

A driver, dispatcher, carrier, terminal, maintenance contact, and equipment provider may each own different steps. PassPro can help your team identify those handoffs, test whether the information stays connected, and document where responsibility needs clarification.

Situations worth discussing

Chassis condition, equipment identification, and defect reporting.

A chassis concern at the gate

The driver identifies a concern, but dispatch receives only “waiting on a chassis.” A focused review can trace the equipment ID, report recipient, movement decision, and provider response.

A record request after the equipment changes

The office has inspection and maintenance information under different identifiers. Start with a sample retrieval and identify how staff connect records to the actual unit.

Bring this to the first conversation

  • Equipment types and the parties involved in the handoff.
  • Locations, reporting systems, and the contacts used for concerns.
  • A description of the recurring problem and the intended result.
  • The records and people available for an agreed review.

Define what a useful result looks like

The proposal can identify a findings report, a records-review summary, training and its agreed documentation, or a defined procedure package. Confirm the sample, locations, included hours, revision rounds, and who implements any corrective work. The industry description does not automatically include every service.

Choose a starting point

Start with a focused consultation, a mock audit, training, or an agreed monthly program. We confirm the scope, deliverables, pricing, and schedule before committing to the work.
